Kataoka Design Studio
Kataoka Design Studio was founded in 2004 by a Nihon University College of Art graduate who built a formidable career at Sony, spanning roles across the Sony Design Center in Tokyo, working on TVs and video cameras, and Sony Corporation of America's Design Center in the US, where they focused on personal audio, mobile phones, and branding. They later served as Chief Art Director at Sony Creative Center, overseeing personal audio, PDAs, and personal computers. The founder held a long-term role at Samsung Master Design Studio (2004–2015) and has served as a Design Advisor at Panasonic since 2018. Their work has been recognized with top honors including the Good Design Award, iF Design Award Gold, and reddot Design Award Best of the Best.
