Doogdesign
Kazuya Koike (born Osaka, 1980) graduated from Osaka Design College in 2003, then worked as chief designer at Ideaco from 2003 to 2012, designing for client companies and in-house products. He founded Doogdesign in 2012; the Osaka studio creates industrial art objects, stationery, daily necessities, furniture, appliances, and branding for domestic and international projects. Notable work includes Tiger’s MTA-T bottle, BenQ’s MindDuo lighting, Lemnos NEUT clocks, TANNER FLATTA, Asahi Industry’s Zero Plastic Handle, and Lexon’s Neo Luggage Tag. Koike’s work has received Good Design, iF Design, and Taiwan Excellence awards, including Good Design Best 100 for MTA-T in 2022. His Decresc colored-plywood seating series was presented in a 2015 Designboom exhibition.
