Drill Design
DRILL DESIGN is a Tokyo-based studio founded in 2001 by Yusuke Hayashi and Yoko Yasunishi. Hayashi studied economic geography at Gakushuin University before studying design and has lectured at Tama Art University and Tokyo Art University; Yasunishi studied sociology at Waseda University before studying design and has served on the Good Design Award committee. The studio works across product, space, material, graphic and package design, branding, creative direction and design direction, with projects including Paper-Wood, PLYWOOD laboratory, geografia, tempo and TOUNEW. Its clients include MUJI, Canon, Mercedes, Camper, TIME&STYLE and CRASSEVIG; it has exhibited in Tokyo, Singapore, Milan, Paris and Stockholm and received Red Dot, Wallpaper*, Good Design, Design for Asia and Japan Package Design awards.
