DID INSTITUTE
DID INSTITUTE is a Japanese design company established in 1970 and based in Kichijoji, Musashino, Tokyo. Led by Representative Director Toshiaki Yoshikawa, the 28-person studio provides product, package, and graphic design. Its product work spans fishing reels, rods, lures, bags, coolers, outdoor equipment, vacuum cleaners, robot cleaners, beauty appliances, fitness machines, massage chairs, scanners, and other consumer goods. Publicly documented projects include DAIWA EXIST spinning reels and other fishing products developed for Globeride, with Good Design Awards including EXIST in 2022. The studio’s work has also been presented through Good Design Award archives and showcases.
