Studio Monoya
Studio Monoya, also known as Monoya, is a Kyoto-based design studio and antique shop operating in Kyoto City’s Kita Ward. Its team is listed as Jin-ki Sakurai, Takushi Yoshida, and Ryo Takagaki, and its practice develops spatial compositions, fixtures, furniture, and other products from collected antiques, tools, and objects. Notable work includes Found Perspective, a 2025 project for Mercari’s employee café lounge, the sibo dining-chair series using Kitayama artificial shibori maruta and plywood, and Punching Block, developed with EETAL and manufactured by Japan Benex. The studio also participated in the alter. installation, which explored viewing medical stents through spatial design.
