Keiji Ashizakawa Design
Keiji Ashizawa (born 1973 in Tokyo) is an architect who studied architecture at Yokohama National University and began his career at an architecture firm before establishing Keiji Ashizawa Design in 2005. The Tokyo practice works across architecture, interiors, furniture, lighting, product design, exhibition design and branding, and has designed Blue Bottle Coffee Japan stores including Minatomirai, Shibuya, Nagoya Sakae and JACK Cafe. Ashizawa collaborates with Karimoku and Norm Architects on Karimoku Case Study, including furniture for the collection. His work has been presented through international exhibitions and Design Koishikawa, which he founded in 2016, and includes recognition such as Monocle’s 2021 Best Restaurant Design Award and a Dezeen Awards 2023 shortlist.
