California College of the Arts began in 1907 as the California Guild of Arts and Crafts and developed through the Arts and Crafts tradition before establishing campuses in the San Francisco Bay Area. Its current programs bring together art, architecture, design, writing, and humanities in an interdisciplinary college setting.
CCA's BFA in Industrial Design combines foundation studies with product design studios, modeling and prototyping, digital form, materials and manufacturing, design ethics, and professional practice. The MFA Design extends this work through advanced studio investigation and design research, with access to fabrication and other specialized facilities.
