Korea University is a private research university in Seoul, South Korea, whose School of Art and Design includes an Industrial & Information Design program. The program connects industrial and product design with information design, user interfaces and experience, and furniture-related product development through undergraduate and graduate study.
Undergraduate work combines practical projects and theoretical study in living product design, product design studios, three-dimensional design, prototype laboratory work, ergonomics, human-centered design, and an industrial design capstone. Graduate study adds product planning, product aesthetics, design engineering, interaction prototyping, design research methods, and experience design methodology.
Furniture design is treated within the broader product development curriculum. The program’s design work therefore spans products, visual and spatial concerns, interactions, and related systems.
