Northumbria University's Product Design provision in Newcastle upon Tyne grew from a program formerly known as Design for Industry. The BA (Hons) Product Design combines physical product development with experience and digital design in a studio and project-based setting.
Students work with CAD modeling, rendering, user-centered design, materials and manufacturing, sustainable and circular design, and speculative approaches. Live industry briefs, placement opportunities, and a final project support portfolio development, while postgraduate options extend study into Industrial Design and Product Design Futures.
