More about
The Georgia Tech School of Industrial Design within the College of Design is ranked among the most prominent industrial design programs in the United States. Rooted in the philosophy of "design focused on technology," the school aims to humanize the connection between people and technology, equipping students to address 21st-century challenges by integrating aesthetic, functional, economic, sustainable, social, and cognitive considerations into their work. The program offers a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design (with co-op/internship tracks) and a Master of Industrial Design, taught through a rigorous curriculum of design studios, fabrication and prototyping workshops, and interdisciplinary research. The school houses several specialized research labs — including the GM HMI Lab, Body Scan Lab, Interactive Product Design Lab, Health Design CoLab, and REAR Lab — and engages the broader community through events like the Launchpad Design Showcase and the GT Auto Show & Mobility Seminar.
