Strate's five-year Industrial Design curriculum begins with foundation work in sketching, perspective, volume, color, typography, sculpture, design culture, materials, and project methods. Later study develops specialist practice through substantial design projects, digital and physical modeling, professional immersion, and collaboration with other disciplines.
The program takes a human-centered approach and asks students to consider how products relate to people, technology, and society. Work with engineers, marketers, and industry partners gives students experience moving from research and concepts to developed design proposals.
