More about

Established with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, Tama Art University's Department of Product and Textile Design trains students to become independent, world-class designers. The Product Design course covers the design of industrial products including furniture, transportation, and household objects. Through studio-based education and a coaching structure, students master form, function, and manufacturing knowledge to address societal needs 5+ years ahead. The Integrated Design course, led by Naoto Fukasawa, focuses on system design and the relationship between humans and objects.
