The Department of Design is part of the Faculty of Engineering, organized across undergraduate and graduate programs (Faculty of Engineering → Department of Design; Graduate School → Materials and Life Sciences / Design Science). At the undergraduate level, students study architectural design, industrial design, and environmental design as foundational fields, then specialize in the Design Course from year 3 onwards, with specific laboratories covering product design, furniture/interior design, and workspace design. At the graduate level, the Design Science program conducts advanced research on product design, human-technology relationships, and environmental design.
