Free University of Bozen-Bolzano is a multilingual university in Bolzano, South Tyrol, where Italian- and German-speaking cultures meet. Its Faculty of Design and Art combines interdisciplinary, project-based education with a focus on design, art, and sustainability, offering the Bachelor in Design and Art and the Master in Eco-Social Design.
In the bachelor’s core semesters, students choose projects in product design and visual communication and connect theory with practice in small atelier groups. The trilingual program uses English, German, and Italian and includes design history, photography, geometry, 3D CAD, typography, interior and exhibition design, and contemporary art.
