The iF Social Impact Prize is an annual iF Design program recognizing implemented projects that use design to advance social progress and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The iF Social Impact Prize is an iF Design program for implemented projects that address social and environmental challenges through design. It is open to companies, design studios, NGOs, foundations, social enterprises, and entrepreneurs whose work connects with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

An international jury reviews projects for relevance, clarity, and potential to create meaningful change. Selected projects receive funding, publication, and international visibility through the iF Design platform.

Who can enter this award?

Companies, design studios, NGOs, foundations, public organizations, social enterprises and entrepreneurs worldwide. Projects must be already established or implemented, contribute to at least one UN SDG (1-15) and show a clear connection to design. Student concepts are not accepted.

What is the prize?

EUR 100,000 total annual funding, split into two rounds of EUR 50,000 shared among selected projects; winners also get publication on the iF Design website and a certificate.

What do I need to submit?

Submit online in English with the project name, SDG category, a description of up to 650 characters, a PDF of up to five pages, a public video of up to two minutes hosted on YouTube or Vimeo, a project website URL, and up to three JPG or PNG images in RGB format, each no more than 4,750 pixels wide and 5 MB. The submission package is digital.

Do I need to submit a physical prototype?

A physical prototype is not required for this award. You can submit your project without providing a physical prototype.
