The annual Australian Good Design Awards are managed by Good Design Australia to evaluate design innovation and impact across products, services, architecture, and society.

The Australian Good Design Awards trace their history to 1958 and are managed by Good Design Australia. The program covers product, engineering, digital, architecture, service, social impact, and other disciplines, with international participation and an emphasis on practical outcomes.

An independent jury of more than 80 experts reviews entries online, in groups, and through a final multidisciplinary assessment against Good Design, Design Innovation, and Design Impact criteria. Winners receive the Good Design Tick, a certificate or trophy, Yearbook and Winner Index inclusion, and professional promotional exposure.

What is the prize?

Winners receive lifetime use of the registered Good Design Tick, a certificate or trophy, inclusion in the annual Yearbook and permanent Winner Index, and ceremony, media, and promotional exposure. Sponsored cash prizes may be offered in selected categories, including Next Gen, according to the applicable category rules.

What do I need to submit?

Submit online in English with a written project description, images, and relevant audiovisual material. Commercial entries should be finished, market-ready, or implemented, while concept and student work should be entered in the relevant categories.

Do I need to submit a physical prototype?

A physical prototype is not required for this award. You can submit your project without providing a physical prototype.
