ISD Rubika in Valenciennes, France, is the industrial design school of the Rubika consortium and was founded in 1987 by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Grand Hainaut. Its five-year project-based curriculum leads to a Diploma in Design Engineering at French RNCP Level 7, with a three-year, 180-ECTS RNCP Level 6 stage also listed in the school record.
Students choose among Product and Service Design, Transportation and Mobility Design, and Digital 3D Design. Learning uses a learning-by-doing model with industry-commissioned projects and digital tools including Rhino, SolidWorks, Alias, KeyShot, and Adobe Creative Suite; the wider Rubika network includes campuses in Valenciennes, Montreal, Pune, and Nairobi.
