Metropolitan State University of Denver's Industrial Design program is housed in the College of Aerospace, Computing, Engineering, and Design on the Auraria Campus. It takes a hands-on, industry-oriented approach to designing products and systems, with coursework shaped by active manufacturing methods and professional practice.
Students study sketching, three-dimensional modeling and rendering, user and visual research, color, material and finish, rapid prototyping, fabrication, manufacturing processes, and marketing. Projects can address furniture, bicycles, textiles, and other products, with access to laboratories and opportunities for internships and international design workshops.
