ECAL, École cantonale d’art de Lausanne, is a Swiss art and design university in Renens, in the Lausanne area. Its practice-based environment connects industrial and product design with technical study, material exploration, and collaboration across art and design disciplines.
The Bachelor of Arts in Product and Industrial Design lasts six semesters and carries 180 ECTS, with teaching in French. The Master of Arts in Product Design lasts four semesters and carries 120 ECTS, with teaching in English; it combines a personal project, assignments with companies, a master’s thesis, and study of design, marketing, and business.
