Shinya Yoshida
Shinya Yoshida (born 1984) is a Japanese product and industrial designer who founded SHINYA YOSHIDA DESIGN in 2012 and incorporated SYD INC. in 2021. Formerly an automotive mechanic, he works across daily-use goods, furniture, lighting, design engineering, and product development, and has taught product design at Nippon Engineering College since 2012. Since 2015 he has partnered with teamLab on products including the teamLab Planets TOKYO Key Band, while his other documented work includes the Tokyo 2020 medal case, MUJI’s Acrylic Shade Light, Geometria Desk Light, and Geometria Glass Speaker. He has presented at Milano Salone Satellite and received the 2013 Good Design Award, 2015 iF Design Award, and 2019 ELLE DECOR Young Japanese Design Talent recognition.
