Oslo National Academy of the Arts, known as KHiO, is a specialized public arts institution in Oslo founded in 1996. Its Department of Design examines the relationship between space and objects through practical studio work, theoretical study, and methodological reflection.
The three-year BA and two-year MA in Interior Architecture and Furniture Design address furniture, spatial design, and material exploration. Students work in full-scale interior architecture laboratories and advanced workshops, using design projects to consider objects, environments, and their broader social and contextual settings.
