Tectonics Lab
Tectonics Lab is a Seoul-based interdisciplinary design laboratory established by architects Hyundai Kim and Sukyung Kim. Its practice spans architecture, landscape, urbanism, product design, and material-focused research, combining professional work with academic inquiry at Ewha Womans University. The studio’s recognized projects include Cheongun Residence, Joan Summer House, and Shilla Millennium Archive, which received International Architecture Awards in 2018 and 2024 respectively, while Joan Summer House received the Excellence Award in the Emerging Architect category at the Korean Architecture Awards 2022. Its work has appeared in Dezeen, The Financial Times, Divisare, ARCHITECT, and SPACE.
