Studio Periscope
Studio Periscope is a Melbourne product and industrial design practice established in 2006. Its work combines strategic concept development and design research with product engineering, CAD, form and product-family development, visualisation, rapid prototyping, tooling design, sourcing and manufacturing support. The studio's capabilities include sustainability and impact-aware analysis, alongside product development. Its work spans early concept development through design refinement and preparation for manufacture.
Public projects include the Lockwood Brasscore door-lever range, developed for Lockwood and ASSA ABLOY Australia, as well as Little Stackers children's drinkware. Other examples include Swing, a touring interactive installation, and Rollie, a school composting system. These projects range from architectural hardware and household products to public installations and sustainability-focused education. The studio's mix of research, design and engineering services supports product work across varied scales and contexts.
