Koichi Futatsumata
Koichi Futatsumata, born in 1975 in Kagoshima, is a Japanese spatial and product designer based in Fukuoka and Tokyo. He began activity as CASE-REAL in 1998, established the practice in 2000, and directs it alongside KOICHI FUTATSUMATA STUDIO, with work spanning architecture, interiors, retail, hospitality, furniture and product design. Projects and collaborations include DDD HOTEL, Gallery COMMON, Suzukake, Arts & Science, Artek, E&Y, Tendo Mokko, UCC and EK Japan; his 22 [tu:tu:] amplifier is in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art permanent collection. He graduated from Kyushu Sangyo University in 1998, taught at Tama Art University from 2016 to 2019, and was a Kobe Design University visiting professor from 2021 to 2023.
