Kensaku Oshiro
Kensaku Oshiro is a Japanese product and furniture designer, born on Okinawa Island in 1977 and based in Milan, Italy. He studied at the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan, earned a master’s degree in industrial design there in 1999, worked at Lissoni Associati and BarberOsgerby, and founded his studio in 2015. His practice spans furniture, lighting, industrial products, and architecture-related projects for clients including Kristalia, Poltrona Frau, B&B Italia, Boffi, Glas Italia, MUJI, and Zanotta. Notable works include the HOLO table collection, the Leplì seating collection, and NUER ceramic wall covering for Living Ceramics. He presented at SaloneSatellite and received the 2006 Design Report Award, Maison&Objet’s 2018 Rising Talent recognition, and iF Design Award Gold in 2023.
