ADI Design Museum opened in Milan to present the historic Compasso d'Oro collection, one of the main records of Italian industrial and product design. The museum places finished objects alongside the ideas and processes that led to them.
Its displays include work by designers such as Gio Ponti, the Castiglioni brothers, Ettore Sottsass, Enzo Mari, Bruno Munari, and Richard Sapper. Permanent material is complemented by temporary exhibitions and events that connect design with architecture, fashion, art, science, and industry.
