Roberto Semprini
Born in Rimini in 1959, Roberto Semprini studied architecture in Florence. In 1987 he joined the Bolidista movement, which expresses design in a symbolic key. Having moved to Milan he began to collaborate as a free-lance journalist for design magazines such as Modo, L'Atelier (Paris) ARDI (Barcelona) and Vogue Italia. In 1989 he designed the “Tatlin” sofa by Edra, which was among the winning products of the prestigious TOP TEN award in Dusseldorf. In 1994 with the “Manta” coffee table for Fiam he was among the winners of the Youth & Design Award. Its products are part of the permanent collection of Montre-at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Canada and the New Museum of Design in London. In 2000 yes moves to Rimini where he inaugurates the “RM 12 art & design” space, art gallery and studio Project. Since 2006 the studio has been creating high-impact scenography for new interior spacesdesign and Contract, in the cultural part of events such as the Fuori Salone in Milan, Abitare il Tempo in Verona, Sun and SIA in Rimini and Maison Objet in Paris.
