Bang Designs
Bang Design is a Bangalore-based industrial design studio founded in 1999 by Prashant Subhedar. Operating on a subscription-based model rather than traditional per-project billing, the studio offers unlimited product design access to clients ranging from startups to global enterprises like Intel, Dell, Microsoft, PepsiCo, and UNICEF. Their work spans consumer electronics, medical devices, automotive, telecom, and industrial equipment, with standout projects including the Paytm Soundbox, the Embrace infant warmer for low-resource settings, and the Hexis refreshable braille reader. The studio provides end-to-end services from concept through prototyping to managed contract manufacturing, combining industrial design with UI/UX, engineering, and AI workflows. A lean in-house team of under 10 designers scales through a network of specialists per project. Bang Design has received multiple IDEA awards, including Gold in 2012, CES Best of Show, and Fast Company's Development by Design Award.
