Tandem Design is a product development and industrial design firm founded in 2009 by Michael Hong. Its nine-person team provides product research and strategy, branding, industrial design, mechanical and electrical engineering, prototyping, and design for manufacturing. The firm develops products for IoT, AV, medical, mobile, computer, and commercial markets.
Its portfolio includes the SOMABAR robotic bartender, VIZIO home theatre system, Gateway all-in-one computer, Pioneer speakers, a folding drone, and network cameras. Tandem has served Honda, TCL, Pioneer, VIZIO, Samsung, Dell, HP, and Safran. Its engineering and manufacturing services support products ranging from medical devices to consumer electronics.
