About the Fair
designTO began in 2010 as the Toronto Design Offsite Festival and adopted its current name in 2019. Its principal festival is a decentralised, city-wide programme combining curated projects with independent exhibitions, events and window installations.
The Venue-Designer Matchmaking Program pairs designers with shops, galleries, studios, cafés, schools and building lobbies. This format makes Toronto's urban spaces part of the festival network and supports public access to design.
